About Tyson
Been a professional musician and teacher since graduating from Berklee in 2003. Continued my education by studying with some of the greats in NYC multiple times, taught hundreds of students, released multiple albums, roughly 1,000 gigs as a bandleader and sideman, 40-50,000 hours of practicing, and created a YouTube channel with hundreds of videos. I'm primarily a jazz and original musician, and currently pursuing advanced classical guitar, but can play and teach other styles such as blues and rock.

I love teaching guitar and would like to help you learn more about music and the guitar. I teach all levels ranging from the very beginner to the very advanced, and ages 10 and up. I cater the lessons to each individuals needs and desires, and help you learn how to make practicing and learning the guitar fun. I like to emphasis developing ones overall musicianship to help one become a better improviser and composer. Being creative isn't encouraged enough in music education, so I try to encourage it in a variety of ways. I can give you a Berklee level music education for a lot less money. 18 years ago one of my students received a full scholarship to attend Berklee.

Details
I teach for a living, so I don't offer any free lessons. The site has a free lesson listed, but the site doesn't allow me to remove that. 4 half hour lessons is $140 and 4 one hour lessons is $240. A single one hour lesson is $70. To book the lessons a payment (via PayPal) is required prior to the first lesson.
