About Phyllis
Strumming patterns often feel clunky until you understand the underlying rhythm. Improvisation and soloing require a mix of theory and physical agility. I provide a free trial session to assess your starting level as a teen or professional. My 13 years of experience help me troubleshoot common issues with acoustic technique or lead guitar.
We use the RCM syllabus to structure your progress through tabs and theory. I keep the focus sharp during our time. You will see how consistent habits build speed over time.

Playing since age 6, I naturally gravitated toward the guitar as my primary outlet. The Glenn Gould School degree solidified my technical grasp after years of experimentation. Having taught 403 students, I understand the friction involved in mastering barre chords and electric technique. I incorporate 13 years of experience into every interaction to ensure clarity.
