About Imogen
I am a guitar tutor with 7 years of experience and a Master of Music in Guitar Education. I enjoy guiding students as they transform curiosity into practical musical ability through supportive and enjoyable lessons.
My teaching approach is flexible, encouraging, and focused on individual progress. I adapt every lesson to match each learner's interests while helping them develop strong technical foundations.
Outside teaching, I enjoy writing original guitar music, performing with local musicians, and exploring different musical styles. These experiences allow me to bring creativity and real performance experience into every class.

My guitar lessons help students grow through practical learning, creative exploration, and consistent encouragement. We study chords, rhythm patterns, scales, fingerstyle, alternate picking, strumming techniques, tone control, bending, vibrato, and musical timing using enjoyable exercises and familiar songs. Every lesson creates steady improvement while keeping learning motivating.
As learners advance, we explore solo development, improvisation, ear training, songwriting, music theory, stage confidence, performance preparation, and expressive playing. I provide clear demonstrations and personalized feedback that help students strengthen both technique and creativity.
My goal is to help students become confident guitarists who enjoy expressing themselves through music. Every lesson develops technical ability, musical understanding, and the confidence to continue learning independently.
