About Charontay
Reading sheet music is often easier than students expect. I start with the basics to ensure your foundation is sturdy enough to support improvisation and soloing.
My 13 years of experience ensure that you understand the mechanics of every note you play. You will find that grade exam prep is handled with a focus on genuine musicality.
Kids and adults alike benefit from my structured approach. This path is straightforward. My Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto informs my technical insights.

Music has been my constant companion since I began my journey 13 years ago. I have performed both classical and folk genres across Canada throughout my long career. Teaching 260 students has taught me how to adjust my method for kids, absolute beginners, and intermediate learners.
Whether we are exploring blues progressions or simple fingerpicking, I bring the same level of care to the table. I can help you with electric technique, acoustic technique, and the basics of tuning and maintenance. It is a quiet, steady process.
