About Nidia

Teaching started for me at a university help desk and I simply never found a reason to walk away from the process. Students gravitate toward me whether they are complete beginners or seasoned players looking to refine rhythm guitar, lead guitar, fingerpicking, and electric technique. I cover reading tabs, ear training, tuning and maintenance, plus grade exam prep for those who need it.

It is honest to admit that I often prefer going off-plan if a tangent is doing more good for your progress than the initial schedule. You are welcome to reach out to me anytime to start your own musical path.

Strings vibrating under your fingers create a feedback loop that is far more instructive than any textbook could be. Because I hold a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music, I emphasize the mechanics behind the sound so you can explain concepts back to me unprompted.

My sessions integrate a 6.0 standard of precision while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and direct. I might pause to check your posture or reset your hand position during a complex sequence.

We often find that these small detours lead to the most significant breakthroughs in your playing. I am always happy to stray from the path if it helps you trust your own reasoning. Monthly recorded review of progress is included to ensure we track your growth together. You will leave with a clearer understanding of your instrument as an extension of your own thoughts.
