About Vivek
With over 15 years of teaching and performance experience, I understand that learning music is not just about playing an instrument, but about nurturing confidence, discipline, and a genuine love for music. I am Trinity College London Grade 8 certified and have worked closely with students of different age groups, guiding them with patience, care, and a structured learning approach.
As a teacher, I place strong importance on creating a safe, encouraging, and respectful learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing themselves. Parents can expect clear communication, well-planned lessons, and steady progress that is appropriate to each child’s age and ability. I focus on strong fundamentals such as correct technique, reading skills, rhythm, and musical understanding, ensuring students build a solid foundation from the beginning.

I focus on developing solid technical foundations alongside musical understanding. This includes correct posture and hand position, finger independence, reading skills, ear training, and music theory integrated with practical playing. I also emphasize tone production, dynamics, phrasing, voicing, and pedalling, helping students move beyond mechanical playing to expressive performance.

Technical warm-ups (scales, arpeggios, exercises)
Repertoire work with detailed guidance on interpretation
Theory and sight-reading connected to the lesson material
