About Sid
Hi! I'm Sid Gogi, a guitarist with 11 years of playing experience and 5 years of teaching experience. Over the years, I’ve developed strong technical and musical skills while performing in cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Milwaukee.
In high school, I won musicianship awards at three different jazz festivals for my guitar performances. In addition, I won my school's Jazz Excellence award and Outstanding Musicianship award. My guitar abilities were reviewed by the music faculty at Stanford University, who highly rated my musicianship and admitted me as an undergraduate student.
In addition to teaching and performing, I’ve written, recorded, and self-produced three studio albums that are available on all major streaming platforms. Rest assured, I have the experience needed to help students both learn guitar and grow as musicians.

I teach students of all ages and primarily work with beginner and intermediate players interested in rock, blues, metal, jazz, funk, and pop.
My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s goals and interests. A typical lesson focuses on three main areas:
* Warm-ups & technique building — exercises to improve dexterity, timing, and coordination
* Songs & repertoire — learning songs the student enjoys at an appropriate skill level
* Theory & musicianship — developing an understanding of scales, chords, improvisation, and musical concepts
For complete beginners, the first few lessons focus on building a strong foundation, including guitar basics, proper technique, rhythm, and essential chords, before transitioning into the standard lesson format.
My goal as a teacher is to make learning guitar both enjoyable and rewarding while helping students build confidence and long-term musical skills.
