About Winter
Do you ever feel like your fingers just will not cooperate with the melody you hear in your head? I am a laid-back coach who prefers to keep things practical while we explore the fretboard together.
With 13 years of teaching under my belt, I know exactly how to break down complex theory into manageable pieces. I hold a Diploma in Music Performance, but I focus mostly on helping you play the music that you actually enjoy listening to. We will work on fingerpicking, power chords, and lead guitar while maintaining your instrument properly. I think it is important to keep practice purposeful rather than just playing aimlessly through the same old patterns.

Many players hit a wall when trying to connect basic power chords to more advanced lead guitar improvisations. The sound of a perfectly tuned guitar ringing out during a blues progression provides the best motivation for any student. Since I have taught 425 students over 13 years, I have seen every common hurdle and know how to clear them quickly. We use ear training and music theory to demystify the fretboard so you feel confident playing with others or soloing on your own.
My approach relies on solid fundamentals and keeping the fun alive even when we are grinding through grade exam prep. You will see steady progress because I keep our goals clear and achievable. I look forward to helping you play better today.
