About Dawn

Music has been a meaningful part of my life since childhood. I believe learning guitar should balance strong technique with the simple joy of playing and discovering your own musical style.

With 13 years of experience and an Artist Diploma in Guitar Performance from the Eastman School of Music, I help students develop both foundational and advanced guitar skills. My lessons are adapted to each student’s goals, experience level, and learning pace.

I teach strumming patterns, music theory, reading tabs, chord transitions, barre chords, lead guitar, fingerpicking, sheet music, scales, and modes. My goal is to make each lesson practical, engaging, and focused on building lasting confidence with the guitar.

About the lesson

Guitar practice often feels like a stagnant grind rather than a creative outlet. You will experience 8 hours of focused work as we transform your song requests into simplified arrangements.

I apply my 13 years of technical background to ensure you build proper habits immediately. My goal is to guide you through the transition from initial strumming to a full stage performance by the end of 1 term. We cover everything from technical scales to complex lead guitar work during these sessions.
