As a student myself, ive understood what pushes people away from practicing an instrument i know they love. Its imperative to go directly to a sound you enjoy, whether its a favorite artist, or friend. Once you understand you can play your most favorite songs, its all downhill from there. Each note that you learn with continue to resonate thru you, just like the first notes you learned. Establishing a foundation, a commitment, and the joy of feeling your sound will always be a key to unlocking your future musicianship.
