About Joseph
I play and teach steel string guitar from beginner to advances levels. I have taught as an independent contractor with San Diego Parks and Recreation for over 5 years. I have experience teaching very young and adult students. I teach all aspects of learning guitar from restringing to holding the instrument, and how to read tablature, as well as basic music notation.

I begin teaching at an individual's level. Throughout the lessons, I teach in a way so students are challenged enough to increase their ability over time. I try to constantly praise students' progress as they learn. Over the years I've built a unique library of teaching material, which is composed of many popular songs I transcribed myself.
