About Zayn

I am a guitar tutor with 6 years of experience and a B.Mus in Guitar Performance along with an M.Mus in Contemporary Music. I specialize in fingerstyle technique, musical expression, and improvisation. I teach beginners posture and basic chords, intermediate learners melodic phrasing and improvisation, and advanced learners complex repertoire and performance preparation. Lessons integrate exercises, repertoire, improvisation, and performance simulations. My teaching philosophy is student-focused, adaptive, and encouraging. Beginners build foundational skills, intermediate learners refine creativity and technique, and advanced learners achieve expressive mastery and performance readiness. Feedback is personalized, constructive, and continuous. Lessons balance technical skill, musicality, and expressive confidence. Outside teaching, I perform, explore musical styles, and compose arrangements to enrich lessons. Teaching guitar allows me to witness learners grow in skill, artistry, and musical confidence. My mission is to cultivate creative, expressive, and technically proficient guitarists inspired to explore music passionately.

About the lesson

Guitar lessons become effective when learners combine technical skill, expressive performance, and musical creativity. I teach fingerstyle, chords, scales, soloing techniques, improvisation, tone shaping, rhythm, and musical interpretation. Beginners focus on posture, basic chords, simple melodies, and strumming patterns to build confidence. Intermediate learners refine finger dexterity, solo phrasing, rhythm coordination, and improvisational skill. Advanced learners explore complex repertoire, stylistic nuances, advanced improvisation, and performance preparation. Lessons include technical exercises, repertoire practice, improvisation, and simulated performances to ensure steady musical growth.

Lesson structure is customized for each learner’s level. Beginners strengthen foundational technique, chord transitions, and rhythm. Intermediate learners enhance melodic phrasing, improvisation, and musical understanding. Advanced learners focus on performance readiness, stylistic interpretation, and ensemble collaboration. Exercises include drills, solo practice, improvisation exercises, and performance simulations. Feedback emphasizes precision, expressiveness, and musicality. Lessons cultivate technical skill, musical confidence, and creative expression.
