About Cross

Hey! My name's Cross I'm 21, I’m a full-time music production student through the University of Central Oklahoma and I’ve been playing guitar since I was 17! During my time as a student I’ve received extensive training in music theory, applied guitar techniques, aural skills and even some vocal coaching. When I first started playing guitar I strayed heavily towards indie music but over time I’ve developed into a more seasoned rock/punk/metal guitar player. I’ve played with bands live and recorded bands live so I have a decent amount of experience to teach anyone starting out how to improve!
I can help with learning chords, alternate picking, fingerstyle, acoustic guitar, proper technique, scales, music theory, beginner songwriting and more!

I have been both a teacher and a student with guitar so I understand the hang-ups that come with wanting to play the songs you love vs having to learn the theory behind. I will work with anyone starting out in guitar to devise fun but also challenging lesson plans that highlight areas in which you could improve but also motivate you to learn on your own. Hit me up especially if you’re trying to learn more rock/metal/riff heavy music.
