About Ethan
Honestly, I prefer to start with a free trial session to assess your current level and musical aspirations. This allows us to determine the right path for your specific needs, whether you are a hobbyist or an advanced performer. My expertise includes technical areas like fingerpicking, barre chords, and complex strumming patterns, all taught through a traditional lens.
I combine my 21 years of gigging experience with technical instruction to help you develop a unique voice on the acoustic guitar. Students often find that mastering power chords and song construction is much easier when they understand the history of the music. We will work through these techniques until they become second nature.

Sometimes the hardest part of music is admitting you have hit a plateau in your practice routine. After 21 years of performing Tex-Mex and Latin pop, I have found that my true joy comes from mentoring the next generation of players. I have guided 319 students through the complexities of the fretboard, ensuring they understand the soul behind the notes.
Growing up in Mexico City, I absorbed flamenco and Latin styles by watching the masters in their natural element. This upbringing informs my teaching style, which is rooted in tradition rather than just mechanical finger exercises. I want to pass this lineage to you. It is a long journey.
