About Amira
I’ve been teaching guitar for nearly a decade, guiding learners to find their voice through the instrument. My background in live performance and studio work allows me to bring a practical, music-centered approach to every lesson. I believe learning the guitar is about self-expression as much as skill. I enjoy adapting lessons to each student’s interests — whether that means learning classic songs, writing original material, or mastering fingerstyle technique. My teaching philosophy centers around curiosity, discipline, and joy in sound discovery. Outside of teaching, I compose and collaborate with other musicians, constantly exploring new genres and styles. That creative energy carries into my lessons, where students are encouraged to listen deeply and play with intention.

My guitar lessons are designed to build both technical precision and creative flow. Each session blends structured exercises with real song practice, helping students connect scales, rhythm, and chord transitions to the music they love. I emphasize posture, tone control, and consistency — the foundation of expressive playing.
Beginners start with basic open chords, strumming patterns, and ear training, while intermediate students explore barre chords, improvisation, and fingerpicking. For advanced learners, we focus on musical phrasing, solo construction, and performance preparation, fine-tuning every detail of timing and articulation.
I also incorporate rhythm games, play-alongs, and style exploration — from pop and blues to classical and acoustic fingerstyle. My aim is for students to develop both fluency and individuality, playing not just accurately but expressively.
