About Levi
With 5 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with Guitar Emphasis, I bring a holistic approach to every lesson. I believe that true guitar mastery involves both the mind and body working together. My teaching combines movement principles from the Alexander technique and breathing exercises to promote relaxed, efficient playing. Visual learning tools like diagrams and fretboard maps help students clearly see patterns and understand the instrument. Auditory playbacks allow them to hear progress, refine tone, and develop musical ear training. This multi-sensory approach creates a strong, well-rounded foundation. I also help students manage performance anxiety, guiding them to play with calm focus and confidence. We work step-by-step to strengthen technique while nurturing personal expression. Each lesson is designed to support steady growth and musical joy. My goal is to guide every student on a journey of musical and mindful growth. In my guitar lessons, I focus on building strong foundations through exam preparation, theory grounding, and certification alignment. Each student follows a structured path designed to meet their personal goals and long-term growth. We work on sight reading for guitar, helping students read music fluently and confidently. Classical fingerstyle development is a key part of my method, training precision, tone control, and hand coordination.
Notation fluency is developed alongside theory, so students understand both the written music and the theory behind it. Repertoire is carefully selected and structured to match certification levels and exam requirements. I guide students through each piece, focusing on technique, interpretation, and musical expression.
For students who thrive with clear academic structure and steady milestones, I provide detailed feedback and achievable learning goals. Those seeking expressive range and genre exploration receive support in adding stylistic variety while maintaining strong fundamentals. Performance assurance is built through practice routines, mock exams, and confidence-building exercises.
