About Dawn
Do you feel like you are stuck in a rut while trying to find your sound? I started playing at age 5 and spent 13 years refining my craft across West Coast stages before earning my Bachelor of Music in Industry from Belmont University. Teaching grew from a side project into the absolute best part of my week as I help players move past simple pentatonic patterns.
My work ranges from total beginners to intermediate guitarists who are ready to finally grasp complex barre chords or clean up their fingerpicking technique. Whether you need help with maintenance, reading notation, or songwriting, I bring a hands-on approach that keeps the energy high.

Sometimes it is an honest struggle to get your amp settings right before you even pick up the guitar. Most players waste time fiddling with knobs when they could be focused on the actual music.
I prioritize getting your tone dialed in immediately so you can focus on mastering scales, modes, or advanced acoustic technique during our 13 years of collective guitar knowledge. Learning is easier when you have a clear roadmap to follow. I provide a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high so you never feel lost between our sessions. You will walk away from this lesson with a clear plan to improve your playing speed and clarity.
