I’m a guitarist and singer-songwriter with a passion for rock, blues, jazz, and folk, blending expressive songwriting with rich jazz harmonies and a versatile approach to playing.

Teaching Methodology & Techniques
I take a practical, student-focused approach to teaching guitar. I draw from rock, blues, jazz, and folk to help students develop strong fundamentals while learning music they genuinely enjoy.
My lessons focus on developing technique, rhythm, musicality, listening skills, improvisation, chord knowledge, and the ability to play confidently with other musicians. I also encourage students to explore songwriting and develop their own sound.
A Typical Lesson
A typical lesson is tailored to each student's goals and experience. We may begin by reviewing material from the previous lesson, then work on technique, chords, scales, rhythm, or a specific song. Depending on the student's interests, we may also explore improvisation, songwriting, ear training, or playing along with recordings.
I aim to balance structured skill development with plenty of time to actually play and make music.
What Sets Me Apart
As an active performer, songwriter, and session musician, I bring real-world experience into my lessons. I've performed at major Vancouver events, been nominated for Pop Artist of the Year at the Fraser Valley Music Awards, and released my own music.
My experience across multiple genres allows me to help students become adaptable, well-rounded musicians while still developing their individual style.
Who My Lessons Are For
I teach beginner to advanced guitarists, including children, teens, and adults. Lessons are suitable for students who are picking up a guitar for the first time as well as experienced players looking to expand their skills.
I'm particularly well suited to students interested in rock, blues, jazz, folk, pop, songwriting, improvisation, and developing the skills needed to play with other musicians.
