About Nathan
I enjoy teaching subjects I’m genuinely passionate about. In addition to guitar, I tutor chemistry, pharmaceutics, antimicrobial pharmacology, and chemotherapy pharmacology at a medical school. Teaching has helped me become better at breaking down complicated topics, adapting to different learning styles, and finding the explanation that makes something finally click for someone

I teach beginner and intermediate guitar with a practical, song-focused approach. Lessons can cover basic chords, country guitar, solos, songwriting, or learning specific songs you want to play.
A typical lesson is either structured around a specific skill, such as soloing or chord progressions, or built around a genre or song the student wants to learn. I focus on making lessons approachable and useful so students can start applying what they learn right away.
My lessons are best for beginners or developing players who want to build a strong foundation, learn songs they enjoy, and become more comfortable playing independently. Advanced solo lessons are more theory and improvisation based.
