About Jacob
I’m a guitarist with 8 years of experience playing both electric and acoustic guitar across a variety of musical styles. I regularly play at my church, where I’ve learned how to blend different tones and techniques to fit everything from soft acoustic worship to dynamic electric leads. Music has been a huge part of my life. I’m passionate about helping people experience that same sense of joy and accomplishment that comes from learning to play!

I focus on helping students build a strong foundation while discovering the joy of playing guitar. I've learned how hard and annoying practicing can be, so I want to teach in a way that's fun and rewarding even in the beginning!
Teaching Method and Techniques
I combine practical exercises with creative application. We’ll cover core techniques such as chord transitions, rhythm, strumming, and basic theory, but also learn how to apply them through real songs.
Typical Lesson Plan
A standard 45-minute lesson usually includes:
Warm-up (5–10 min): Simple picking or chord exercises.
Core Skill Focus (15–20 min): Learning a new concept, like a chord shape or rhythm pattern.
Song Application (10–15 min): Applying the concept to a song the student likes.
Wrap-up (5 min): Quick recap and goals for the next session.
Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed for beginners of all ages who want to start their musical journey in a positive, supportive environment. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or getting back into it after a break, I’ll help you build a solid foundation and enjoy every step of the process.
