Hello! My name is Jewel, and I am a dedicated student at Hamilton Girls’ High School with a passion for helping younger learners unlock their full potential in Mathematics. About the lesson

Techniques & Methodology
I believe that math shouldn't feel like a chore. My teaching focuses on "The Mastery Method", ensuring a child fully understands the why behind a math rule before moving on to the next topic.

The "I Do, We Do, You Do" Model: I demonstrate a problem, we solve the next one together, and finally, the student tackles one independently to build confidence.

Visual Learning: For Year 1-6 students, I use visual aids and real-world examples (like sharing snacks or measuring household items) to make abstract numbers tangible.

Entrance Exam Strategy: For those preparing for entrance exams, we focus on time management and identifying "trick" questions.

Lesson Format & Length
Primary (Year 1-4): I recommend 60-minute sessions. This matches their natural attention span while allowing enough time for a fun "brain break" halfway through.

Intermediate/Senior (Year 5-6+): I recommend 90-minute sessions to dive deeper into complex problem-solving and exam techniques.
