About Calistus

I am a Cybersecurity and Network Security Instructor with strong hands-on experience in enterprise networking and security operations. I specialise in teaching practical, real-world skills across SOC operations, SIEM monitoring, network security, and enterprise infrastructure using structured lab environments.
My teaching approach is highly practical and lab-driven. I guide students through real network and security scenarios, including routing and switching, MPLS and VRFs, firewalls, VPNs, Active Directory environments, and SOC workflows using SIEM tools. My goal is to ensure learners not only understand concepts but can confidently apply them in real IT and security roles.
I work with beginners, IT support professionals, and career switchers who want clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and hands-on experience. Whether you are starting in IT, strengthening your networking foundation, or transitioning into cybersecurity or SOC roles, my sessions are structured to build confidence, technical depth, and job-ready skills.
I focus on clarity, industry relevance, and practical learning that aligns with real enterprise and service-provider environments.

About the lesson

My lessons are practical, structured, and focused on real-world IT, networking, and cybersecurity skills. Each session combines clear explanations with hands-on labs that reflect enterprise and service-provider environments.
Students will learn through guided practice in areas such as IT support fundamentals, network configuration and troubleshooting, routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, SOC operations, SIEM monitoring, and enterprise network security. Lessons are designed to help learners understand not just what to do, but why systems behave the way they do.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and career goal, whether you are a beginner entering IT, building a solid networking foundation, or preparing for SOC and network security roles. Sessions are interactive, lab-driven, and focused on building confidence and job-ready skills.
By the end of each lesson, students will have practical experience they can apply directly in real IT and cybersecurity environments.
