About Tiffany
Programming has been my focus for eight years, during which I have taught 380 students ranging from complete beginners to more advanced, confident learners preparing for coursework. My background includes real-world development experience, which shapes practical, realistic teaching rather than purely textbook exercises disconnected from actual practice. My programming lessons focus on small, genuinely real projects rather than isolated syntax drills, since code is remembered far better when it controls something the student personally built rather than an abstract disconnected exercise. Debugging is treated as a core skill from the very first lesson, taught calmly rather than presented as something intimidating or worth avoiding entirely. Sessions mix short, focused explanation with immediate hands on coding practice every few minutes, since long verbal instruction alone tends to lose a student's focus quickly. I keep a running error log per student, revisiting recurring mistake patterns deliberately until they genuinely stop appearing in their independent work over time. Advanced students work through real coursework style projects with careful attention to clean, readable code structure throughout.
