About Kelsie
I am 22 years old and currently completing the first step towards becoming a qualified bit and bridle fitter. My goal is to not only qualify as a tack fitter and saddle ergonomist, but to also be able to make and repair items, thus improving horses way of going and comfort.
I've completed laminitis short courses and I am constantly doing CPD. I personally prefer a more natural way of horsemanship however I am knowledgeable on traditional BHS methods due to my years at Hartpury College.
I've recently backed my own little pony (see profile picture) and turned him away as he's not mentally ready.
Equine welfare is what I focus on. I can give you theory to take away and think about while in the saddle, such as mouth confirmation and how the bit acts in the mouth, how your rise changes the trot stride, etc
I do have chronic migraine, making my way in the equine world with this (or any!) disability is hard. My health makes me fall behind my peers, so I've decided to get ahead by immersing myself in science and theory. Due to my migraine attacks and occasionally flare ups, sometimes I will have to rearrange lessons, I apologise already and will rearrange at the earliest convenience.

I personally have a processing delay when learning knew information, because of this I understand how important it is to go at your speed. If anything needs gone over again you can ask with no judgement. My priority will always be improving the welfare of the equine, helping you understand how you influence their anatomy and performance.
