About Steven
I have a Duke Ph.D. Botany/Genetics, UCSD Masters in Oceanography/Marine Biology, Oxford Postdoc in Virology, Harvard Biology Bachelors degree, tutoring over 15 years. Love to teach. Love to learn. I strongly believe that learning should be fun, enjoyable, and intend to create a genuine desire to learn, and to provide students with a sense of accomplishment.

After getting introduction to a subject, one learns best by working with the material, though problem solving, writing essays, and doing multiple choice questions which test the breadth of your knowledge and familiarity with the vocabulary. I prefer an interactive approach, the Socratic method, wherein we discuss and challenge each other with questions and answers.
