About Fred
i have taught community college, high school, and middle school classes in general English, American literature, science fiction literature, college writing, business English, and oral communication (public speaking) over the past 46 years, successfully working with students from a wide variety of backgrounds. Although not fully fluent, I can also communicate reasonably well in Spanish and French.

I first try to determine where the student is in terms of skill level for the subject matter while trying to develop and personal rapport. Additionally, I try to weave the student's own personal interests into the instruction. As much as possible, I use analogie to help explain concepts.

Rate will be charged for scheduled lesson that is cancelled by student less than 24 hours prior. For cancelled lesson with at least 24 hour advance notice will not be charged. If more than two lessons are cancelled without at least 24 hour advance notice, the client will be dropped.
