About Sameer

From teaching small groups at Harvard to working one-on-one with learners around the world, I bring both subject expertise and personal mentoring to every session. I have taught a wide range of subjects at Harvard University and the University of California, experiences that have given me deep subject mastery and the insight to teach students with diverse backgrounds and goals. Over 15 years of tutoring experience has taught me that true understanding comes not from memorisation, but from breaking concepts down to their essence, building reasoning skills, asking the right questions, and practising with guidance. I tailor each lesson to your pace, goals, and preferred learning style, whether you are preparing for GCSE, A-Levels, IB, university coursework, or competitive exams. My aim is that you leave each session more confident, equipped to tackle new problems with clarity and curiosity.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring: I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations and teaching problem-solving strategies instead of memorisation. Using interactive tools like an iPad and Apple Pencil, I make lessons engaging and easy to follow. Each session is personalised to the student’s needs and goals, whether improving grades, preparing for exams, or handling university coursework. Lesson Structure: Length: 60 minutes (90 minutes available for advanced topics or exam prep) Format: Flexible scheduling, regular sessions, or focused revision before exams Qualifications & Experience: I studied Molecular Genetics and Stem Cell Biology at Michigan State University and Harvard University, where I also served as a Teaching Fellow for five years. More recently, I earned my Master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. With over 15 years of tutoring experience, I’ve helped students worldwide at all levels succeed in school, competitive exams, and university coursework.
