I am a Harvard undergraduate who has a lot of experience teaching violin to middle and high schoolers. I teach students differently depending on what their goals are–if they want outside help on a piece they're already working on for school/orchestra/etc., I give them exercises to help them work through the piece. If students are looking for a primary teacher, I work with them on scales and pieces that I assign as I see fit for their level and progress.
