About Jim
I welcome you to join me on your first visit with bottled water and a short introduction of what we will cover that day. If you choose to continue, I will give you a preview of the next lesson by showing you a video of the next step.
I have been teaching dance since 1986, when I got my first certification through Arthur Murray Studios, Intl.
While working at Arthur Murray Studios, International, I was trained by Patrick Johnson (ten-dance world champion), Sergio Moya (top international competitor), Michael Reichenbach (retired regional director and former owner of Arthur Murray Studio, Ft. Myers, Fla.), and David Hamilton (Theatre Arts World Champion). After teaching for the Arthur Murray Studios in South Carolina and Florida, I was trained by other coaches including Tony Prado, Top Five World Competitor, Max Sinitsa, World Champion, Kem Overby, Grand Master Instructor, Dan Calloway, Dual Fellowship with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, Karina Smirnoff, five-time U.S. National Champion, World Trophy Champion, and Asian Open Champion.
I now teach the DVIDA (Dance Vision) system at all levels.
I am also the author of “A Ballroom Dance Teacher: How to Find a Good One, How to Be a Great One,” found on Kindle and Createspace.

Walking forwards and backwards, stepping to the side and bringing the other foot together, rocking forward and back from foot to foot... it's that easy to learn to dance. The rest is just moving together in the same direction at the same time. You can do this!
