About Lucie
I am a 20-year-old French girl currently living in Glasgow. I lived most of my life in France, but last year I spent a year in England with the Erasmus programme, and decided that I wanted to continue studying in the UK. Hence why I am now pursuing my masters' degree of Human Rights and Politics in Scotland. I taught French as a volunteer in England last year, and the 3 other years were spent teaching French, English, Spanish and sometimes History for students around 10 to 18. I was tutoring both as a volunteer and as a paid job, and I always like interacting with the students and see them evolve. It's a real joy for me to see people grow and develop.

Learning French can be tricky, so there is a need to practice orally. I would usually make the student watch a short video, depending on his/her level, and then discuss it. It is a mix of an auditory and visually explicit way of learning, but it would also require the need to write and read, through articles related to the liking of the student. The typical length of a lesson is around an hour, but can be adjusted. Moreover, I worked as a tutor for 4 years and my students were usually between 9 and 18, so it is mostly the range I am used to.
