About Michael
I have worked in the private sector as a cost accountant, corporate controller, and practicing CPA. I have taught Accounting and Finance at schools such as Northwestern, DePaul, UIC and Loyola. My PhD is in Educaitonal Psychology so I have studies in great depth how students learn and process information. This has shaped the way I teach.

The word "Education" comes from the latin word "Educare" which means to "draw out". My approach to education is on student thinking, understanding and application. Accounting and Finance are two very practical subjects. My aim is for students to understand what they are doing vs. just teaching them how to do something. I am fun. patient, and highly effective.
