About Laura
I am passionate about education especially when it comes to children who don't grasp concepts quickly. I was this child during my youth, but my parents never gave up on me. I was told college was not for me because I was a sold C student in a school system that expected excellence as the only achievable goal.
When I had children of my own I realized education must start very early. I did not want my children to struggle the way I had.
Even with private schools and home support my oldest daughter by third grade was suggested to be put in special needs classes.
Her father and I did not accept the school's evaluation and sought out professional help. The findings where dyslexia. We hired a tutor for two years to assist our child.
Fast forward to the present our child now has a Doctoral Degree and has made her career about assisting all students in achieving a successful education.

All students need a strong foundation before starting school. That is why it is so important to start training a child to learn as soon as possible. Without this foundation students tend to get left behind very quickly even in kindergarten. If a child is under prepared by first grade chances are they will need a tutor in their future. Without assistance the child only falls further behind. Please don't let this happen to your child. Be aware of their daily progress and reach out for a tutor when needed. Your child depends on you for their educational foundation and success.
