I am fairly laid back in my teaching approach, however I set high expectations of all my students and I encourage students to critique their own work along with myself.
I like to set broad options to improve and I feel the best way to learn is to try it yourself.
I do like to individualise lessons to the student(s) and get everyone involved in idea generation, helping figure out issues that may arise and the most important part, the critique of any and all work which will help to improve not only your own work but your eye for seeing why something works or doesn't.
