About Jessica
I am a university professor in Michigan. I have a PhD in public policy, and teach students of all ages, from 18 up from dozens of countries. I also was a high school teacher (licensed in secondary education English) for ten years. I have a BA in English education, and a Master of Education (Ed.M) in education from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education. I have been working as a tutor and teacher for over 15 years.

I love to do individualized lessons- meeting with the student, going over their curriculum, and their needs. I also practice having oral conversations related to that content with them. We practice the conversation multiple times, changing up the content to excercise so they learn and adapt language ability. I love to explore how the culture and language of different places so that they can learn more about Latin America and the Spanish speaking world.
