About Renata

I have a passion for language learning and would enjoy sharing this with anyone interested in exploring new ways to communicate and interact with different cultures and perspectives. I think it is very enriching to open your mind to distinct points of view and explore versions of yourself you have not met before!

About the lesson

I have an immersive approach as language exposure is key in developing listening and comprehension skills. After assessing level in the first lesson and teaching basic phonetics, I either assign or ask the student to choose a piece of media (article, kids show, YouTube video, song) to analyse with some guidance questions. I also ask to write a short paragraph and record a voice note (topics range on level) and this is all seen and corrected in class. If the student prefers to do the activities in class time that is perfectly acceptable, but progress might be slower.
