About Irene
Learning to code involves writing 10 lines of functional logic before moving to complex backend tasks. I structure these sessions to remove the frustration often felt by struggling students who lack a roadmap. You will gain comfort with Java and JavaScript through consistent, logical progression during our time together. I prioritise clarity by applying my background in architectural systems to explain how data structures actually connect.
A hands-on mini project assigned after every class ensures you apply what you have learned immediately. This practice allows us to track your progress while building your confidence in technical problem solving.

The hum of a cooling fan and glowing terminal lines define my workspace. After 9 years of working in the London computational design scene, I have translated my MArch from Bartlett and MSc from UCL into a teaching practice that simplifies logic.

I help teens and adults navigate SQL databases and version control with a patient, technical approach. Most learners struggle with syntax before they grasp the structure, so I break these concepts into manageable segments. Coding is ultimately about clear communication with a machine that follows instructions literally. It remains an evolving craft that I continue to explore every day.
