About Fiona
I have a Master's degree in Chemistry and have always been passionate about the sciences! For my undergraduate degree I pursued a double major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Immunology and Disease at UofT - throughout this degree I began to realize my love for chemistry, and especially organic chemistry.

I attended the University of Toronto for my undergraduate degree and completed a thesis project where I specialized in organic synthesis. After this, I attended York University for my Master's degree where I continued to pursue research in organic chemistry.
I can teach high school and university-level chemistry (general chemistry courses or organic chemistry courses).
I like to emphasize understanding the material over memorizing - especially with organic chemistry, where most of the tests require applying concepts.
Therefore, I like to teach by first determining what the student is having issues with. If you have specific questions, we will go over them first. If there's remaining time, we would go over some practice problems from the issues brought forward at the previous lesson, in order to reinforce the ideas.
