About Annie

I have tutored students in mathematics and statistics for 14 years and have served as a teaching assistant or teacher for 8 years. I have worked with students with a wide array of levels during this time and have developed methods to meet people where they are. I know what it is like to struggle with mathematics, and so I enjoy working with students one-on-one because this means we not only get to go over mathematics content, but also I get to see people light up as their confidence builds.

About the lesson

I love working with students one-on-one on mathematics concepts as well as helping to build confidence in academic abilities. I have tutored a wide range of subjects within mathematics and statistics and tailor my teaching to the person sitting in front of me. I think mistakes are an important part of the learning process and strive to create a relationship where any and all questions are welcomed. I am comfortable tutoring mathematics from middle school through college level. I have tutored in statistics too, mostly for the AP test at the high school level. I also have 2 years of experience tutoring in test prep for the ACT and SAT.
