I have a masters degree in mathematics and first class honours degree in maths with computer science. I mainly tutor mathematics, but in the past have tutored beginners Spanish and English as a foreign language.
For mathematics I mostly work with students preparing for their GCSE, however I have also work with students at university, studying for A-level and students as young as 13 years. I have also tutored mature students.
I have worked as an associate lecture in engineering mathematics at a university,
I have also worked as an academic support worker, assisting university students with learning difficulties.
Having struggled with mathematics and needed tutoring myself, I understand how frustrating it can be not to succeed in mathematics. From working with a tutor my grade went from a D to an A. I like to tutor because I enjoy helping others find confidence in their ability - and it gives me a great excuse to get my old books out!
