About Yusuf
I'm a graduate Engineer and I've been passionate about teaching from a young age, especially mathematics. I've been tutoring students since my post secondary school days, up to my years as an undergraduate.
Writing GCE mathematics examination as an SS2 student in secondary school, I scored a distinction, likewise in my final school leaving examination.
I have great love for mathematics and I don't get tired teaching it, most importantly, I teach it well.
One of my fondest memories was tutoring a SS3 student about to write NECO exams while I was in SS2.
Throughout my undergraduate years, I take any opportunity I have to teach secondary students mathematics in a way they'll relate to. Having being a brilliant student myself, I learnt about the weakness of my teachers early and make sure I avoided them and ensure my students have a positive approach towards the well hated subject.

Throughout my tutoring years, I take my time while teaching students mathematics to do so in a way they'll relate to. Having being a brilliant student myself, I learnt about the weakness of my teachers early and make sure I avoided them and ensure my students have a positive approach towards the well hated subject.
I start by sampling the background of the student and know what position they stand in their understanding of mathematics.
Once I know their standing, I check the syllabus to know the required work to be covered. I then take my time to pick the topics in a way that knowledge required for each succeeding topic we treat must've been covered or the student must have had a prior knowledge - this I would know as a result of the sampling of the student I carried out firstly.
For each topic, I try as much as possible to make sure it doesn't appear abstract to the student. I relate it to day to day actions and I find an entry point. From there on, the ride is easier.
