About Pj

Learning to play an instrument is a pretty sharp learning curve. I’m here to make it a little less steep. I have been playing for many years and I have played all different kinds of music, from basic scales, to 4 movement pieces in 3/2 time (you read that right. That was a nightmare). I understand the fundamentals of music and what it takes to bring music to the next level.

About the lesson

I can take lessons at whatever pace you need. Whether you’ve never played a note in your life, or you’ve been playing for years and just need some help reading sheet music. I can teach all levels. Playing an instrument isn’t just about making notes, though. It also teaches you about having confidence, working through mistakes, and how to express emotion through music. These are all fundamental to music, along with just playing the notes.

Perfect! We've had several lessons for our 12 year old son with PJ. She's been so great with him, and teaching him skills to improve his playing. He's even first chair! PJ is very responsive with communicating and has been flexible when we've needed to reschedule. I highly recommend PJ for lessons with your kiddo.
