About Willobee

I currently own and operate an outdoor guiding company in Cooper Landing, Alaska. We operate strictly in the summer, doing team building and youth group work. I work tirelessly through the summer to educate tourists, youth, groups, families, and Alaska locals on our natural resources, the natural landscape around them.

In the winters, I typically work for the Peninsula School District as a paraprofessional for special education students and as an afterschool tutor for the students in our school. This winter, I have decided to search for more remote work, to allow me to help more students in my free time.

Aside from the work I have done in my adult professional life, I am also the oldest of six and spend large amounts of my free time helping with homework, studying, and test prep.

I am truly passionate about working with students to help further their education, and to ensure that they are staying caught up with their classmates. After starting my career working in the school district, and with students, I have realized how many students truly benefit from one-on-one time. It is important for me to ensure that every child and teen has the opportunity to learn, regardless of the pace they need to learn at.

About the lesson

I specialize in working with K-8 students in a one-on-one environment. I have prior experience working as a paraprofessional with special education students. I can help with most subjects, but do especially well with one-on-one reading, essay writing, creative writing, math basics, environmental science, geography, and both world and US history.

Along with my in-classroom experience, I have extensive outdoor education experience spanning over the last five years. My outdoor education experience includes team building, environmental studies, and guide training.
