I have a Spanish and global studies degree from Eastern Oregon University . I’ve tutored at MHCC and have been a substitute teacher. I love to help get to Aha moments where language just clicks!

About Sarah
I’ve been a student of Spanish practically my whole life. I grew up in an area that spoke Spanish all around me. Then I traveled to Costa Rica to learn more Spanish, Ecuador for an amazing environmental justice trip and then to Peru in College where I went to classes as well as helped the local community. I now regularly attend a Spanish congregation, so I am continuously immersed in the language. I would love to help others be able to expand their horizons and communicate effectively in Spanish as well!

I will work with you and the coursework you’ve been provided by your teachers to better understand the content. If we need to use our own curriculum, I have a wonderful book that I’ve been using with other students. An interactive approach works well with acquiring language. People learn language when there is emotion attached to it, so we will try to make it fun!
