About Clayre
My name is Clayre Benzadon and I am a poet, writer, activist, and educator interested in fusing the art of poetry and narrative to that of the field of psychology. I went to Brandeis University for my undergraduate, where I studied Psychology and Creative Writing, and I got my Master''s in Fine Arts at the University of Miami.

I have taught as a high school and middle school writing / literature teacher, and also have experience teaching undergraduates! I My teaching philosophy involves creating a unique, contemporary, inclusive, and creative way of engaging students with the act of writing, analysis (in this case, the art of rhetoric), and the research writing process. As a current Middle School Writing / High School American literature teacher, poet, former teaching assistant at the University of Miami, tutor of four years at Miami Dade College, and someone who frequently facilitates workshops, I have experience, drive, and an always-intense curiosity to continue learning; I envision myself doing that by continually growing and learning with my students, a process that is done simultaneously and as a communal, equity-centric process.
