About Justin
Since the first session is usually about finding your natural grip, we start by mapping out your current repertoire. We use custom backing tracks so students can practice soloing at home with professional support.
My approach emphasizes rhythm guitar and fingerpicking as essential tools for any player. Grade exam prep is integrated into our routine to ensure measurable progress.
I provide structure for those who feel lost in their practice. We will refine your soloing technique until your sound feels cohesive. You will notice a steady improvement in your ability to handle complex chord shapes.

Teaching 127 students has shown me that complex technical skills are often best learned through simple rhythm exercises. You might expect that high level theory is the starting point for guitar success, but I find that a solid foundation in strumming patterns matters more. My 9 years of experience includes developing acoustic technique and ear training for a diverse range of goals.
Holding a BM Music Education degree helps me clarify chord transitions and barre chords for self-taught players wanting structure. Many performance-focused students benefit from my focus on songwriting and improvisation. I enjoy watching returning learners rediscover the instrument with improved mechanics. We will work together to ensure your musical path aligns with your long-term ambitions.
