About Angela
Your guitar rests in your lap as we begin with a quick check of your tuning. We spend the first few minutes warming up your hands with a familiar blues progression. This creates a bridge between your last session and today. I watch your posture as we move into complex chord transitions.
You might play a specific bar three times until the sound rings perfectly clear. I use this time to help you read tabs and understand why a certain rhythm works. Then we shift gears to your songwriting or lead guitar goals.
You walk away with a clear idea of what to practice for next week. I record a monthly progress review so you can hear exactly how far you have come.

The smell of old wood and the slight friction of steel strings under my calloused fingers defined my childhood. Music performance was my formal study at Concordia University, but the true lessons happened in community halls.
I combine my BFA with 13 years of experience to guide kids and busy professionals through the complexities of the fretboard. Whether you are an intermediate learner refining your lead guitar or a returning learner dusting off an old acoustic, we find the right tempo for you. My approach treats music theory as a tool for creative freedom rather than a set of rigid rules. I have guided 188 students through blues progressions and chord transitions with patience.
I try to ensure that every chord shift feels intentional and every strumming pattern carries weight. We examine the mechanics of your instrument to keep everything in working order. I promise that our sessions will be a steady, quiet space where you can focus on building your own technical foundation.
