About Katelynn
"Music lives in the ears. That is why I teach the way I do.
I earned my BM Music Performance degree from Belmont University to understand the structure behind the sound. This formal training helps me explain complex ideas to working professionals and self-taught players.
Intermediate learners and those returning to the guitar often find my oral-tradition-first approach refreshing. I emphasize listening and imitation as the primary way to understand the fretboard.
We explore improvisation, soloing, and the nuances of acoustic technique. I also cover music theory, reading tabs, and grade exam prep. Barre chords and fingerpicking become accessible through consistent practice. My studio is a space where curiosity leads the way."

"Achieving command over your instrument starts with a solid foundation in how you hear and interpret music. Ever feel like your progress has hit a wall because you lack a clear path? By transcribing from old recordings, you develop a deeper understanding of the instrument. I share my 11 years of experience to bridge the gap for intermediate learners and self-taught players.
We will work on tuning and maintenance to ensure your gear is ready to go. I provide structure for working professionals who have limited time to practice.
Whether you are a kid just starting or a returning learner, we focus on what matters most. Understanding music theory and mastering barre chords will change how you play. My BM Music Performance degree from Belmont University informs every technique I demonstrate.
