About Cheryl
How do you keep your hands relaxed while playing fast passages? I structure my lessons around steady improvement and regular performance checks to ensure we keep the momentum going.
My background as a self-taught musician means I focus on the acoustic techniques that really matter for your personal growth. Since I have 10 years of experience, I provide the structure you need to prepare for grade exams without the usual stress. We will look at your monthly recorded review of progress to adjust our path. By keeping the feedback loop tight, I make sure you are always moving toward your musical goals.

Scales, modes, and rhythm guitar are the tools I use to break down complex theory into something manageable. I suppose I should mention that I have taught 81 students over my 10 years of experience gigging the local music circuit. My background is self-taught, which helps me explain guitar technique to working professionals and advanced learners in a way that actually sticks.
I cover everything from ear training and tab reading to complex improvisation and soloing techniques. Music is play.
I find great joy in watching a student finally nail a difficult chord transition after weeks of practice. You will get a monthly recorded review of progress to track your development over time. It is rewarding to see how my students evolve as they master their instruments.
