About Barbara
I have taught Language Arts to kindergarteners and first graders and second graders, I have taught ESL at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, I have taught Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate English to 11th and 12th graders, and I have taught English and Composition to incoming freshmen at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I simply and totally and completely love teaching and helping students. I can diagnose what students might need, but most importantly I can help students come to an understanding of their specific needs.

My most unusual teaching method is one in which I ask students what they feel they need, what exactly do they wish to achieve. If they are unsure, I can help them set realistic goals. Together we can work to accomplish those goals. Each and every lesson plan will begin with "What do you want to accomplish today?" I might also ask " How can I help to define what you need?" Once this objective is establish we will be a team to meet that objective.
