I have tutored all levels of mathematics for many agencies for the last 20 years.
Methodology
I have a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati and masters degrees in Adult Education (University of Delaware) and Business Administration (Wilmington University). I take the student from where they are in the class and attempt to improve the students understanding of the material. I do not try to make everyone a 'math genius'. I only give enough teaching to assist the student to successfully complete their homework assigment and to 'pass' the class with whatever grade that they are hoping to attain.
Background
I have tutored for WyzAnt, Thumbtack, Club Z, Treetops, Sylvan and Growing Desire Educational Services (my own company) for the last 20 years. I tutor by taking the student, with their own books and their own notes, and prepare the student for upcoming work (homework or tests). I also assist with study skills and note-taking skills. I have taught over 100 students. The students were either high school students, college students or adult students in continuing education programs.

After obtaining my bachelors degreeI I worked in the field of chemical engineering for 7 years with two major chemical companies.
I then turned to the field of teaching as I was doing many hours of tutoring. I returned to school to obtain the necessary background and managerial skills in order to be effective in the field of education of adults and young adults. I have held all positions in the field of adult and continuing education except for financial aide and recruiting. I have designed training programs, have worked as a job placement officer, an advisor, a supervisor (Dean, Executive Director, Director of Training), and teacher for a number of years.
In order to keep current with the needs of industry, I have owned three small businesses and still work for my own agency.
I currently teach math full-time for the Art Institute of Tampa and as an adjunct at many other colleges and institutes.
